Easee One EV charger installation in Honley, using wireless load management and 4G connectivity where running a supply from the property’s main consumer unit wasn’t feasible.
We recently completed an Easee One EV charger installation at a property in Honley, with the charger installed on a detached garage.
The property presented an interesting challenge due to its shared driveway. There was no feasible way to run the required connection from the main consumer unit within the house to the detached garage, so the installation needed a different approach.
We selected the Easee One charger due to its wireless load management capability. This allowed us to provide the required load management without the need for additional cabling between the house and garage.
The Easee One also benefits from built-in 4G connectivity, meaning the charger doesn’t need to rely on the property’s Wi-Fi network for its connected features — particularly useful for an installation on a detached garage.
As part of the work, we installed a new consumer unit within the garage, providing bidirectional RCD protection and surge protection (SPD).
The finished installation provides the customer with a practical, connected EV charging solution despite the challenges presented by the location of the garage and the shared driveway.
